This test box assists in checking 12-volt towing sockets for roadworthy condition and trailer indicator monitoring where mandatory (it is NOT for independently testing a trailer without a vehicle).

The box checks 13-pin sockets according to DIN/ISO 11446 and 7-pin sockets according to DIN/ISO 1724 by use of included adapter. It is equipped with genuine filament bulbs for all lighting functions.

Testable lighting functions:

• Indicator left and right side: Activate vehicle indicator (left or right) by moving indicator stalk switch into desired position. Failure of an operating trailer indicator lamp can be simulated by switching it off with one of the top switches in the test box control panel. Deactivation of an operational trailer indicator lamp should be indicated inside the towing vehicle.

Lights:

• rear light, left side

• rear light, right side

• brake lights

• rear fog light

• reversing light

Testable special functions:

• Charging line for trailer battery: Set lower right switch in test box control panel to PIN 10 position and idle engine. Operation of charging line is displayed on the test box red fog light.

• Constant 12-volt current for trailer auxiliaries: Remove ignition key and set lower left switch in test box control panel to PIN 9. Operation of constant current line is displayed on the test box white reverse light.

PLEASE NOTE: Single-handed testing can be conducted by use of extension cable, manufacturer part no. 23400026 (not included).
